316L Stainless steel GMAW (MIG) welding alloy has similar usage as MIG 316, but the 0.03% maximum carbon content increases resistance to intergranular corrosion. Used for welding steels alloyed with molybdenum. Conforms to AWS A5.9. Packaged for use in portable welding machines.

  • Welds molybdenum-bearing alloys
  • Welds similar alloys containing (.03% max) carbon content
  • Lower carbon content resists intergranular corrosion
  • Minimal carbon not greater than .02% to protect against corosion.
  • Typically used to weld 309 Series stainless steels.
  • Used for welding steels alloyed with molybdenum.
  • Conforms to AWS A5.9.
